How long have you worked at Simplaex?
Since March last year so a year and a half, almost two years.
How has your previous experience prepared you for your current role?
In my last job, I was working in a game development company so I wanted to remain in the industry because it’s a hobby and passion for me. I found Simplaex which is still acting in the game industry, so I’ve been able to apply a lot of my skills from my previous work and also from my hobby. I’m a gamer so I can apply a lot of skills. For example, for our clients it’s important that we bring them quality players and from my previous experience I know what a game company aims for and what their goals are. Knowing this, I try to apply my knowledge so that I can leave my customers satisfied.
What do you predict to be some changing trends in digital advertising technology in 2019?
I expect that Machine learning and AI will continue to grow tremendously in 2019. All of the actors in the ad tech ecosystem are aware that only AI can show the most relevant ad to the relevant person at the right time on the right device with a high probability of success. I think we will see more and more ads as brands. Advertisers are discovering the potential in multi-channel marketing in order to keep the viewers/users engaged at all times. When was the last time when you watched TV without checking social media on your phone, for example? The point is that we are using more than one device simultaneously and advertisers are going to utilize this to its full potential in the upcoming years.
What do you think about emerging topics in your industry?
I am really interested in tech in general so I follow the tech-related news in our industry with passion. I recently read that voice search is playing a larger role in everyday life and that by the end of this decade, almost half of all searches will be done using Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant. It will be really interesting to follow how brands are going to build their marketing strategy in order to harness the potential of voice search.
What is your personal motto?
The only easy day was yesterday.
How do you achieve your maximum efficiency as Senior Manager Strategic Partnerships?
I try to put myself into the shoes of advertisers – first I understand their games, then their needs, then gather insights and then I try to apply what I’ve learned. Knowing the capabilities and the sources that we have, I try to choose the best fit so that we end up with the right fit for everyone.
What do you like about your role?
I really like that I have everyday contact to people from all around the world. I get to know all different kinds of people and I’ve grown closer to a lot of people; I’ve made friend relationships too. My favorite part is really the constant contact with people. I also really like that sometimes we have to think outside the box in order to satisfy our clients’ needs. This really pushes my creativity and skills to the limit which I really like.
What’s the best part about working at Simplaex?
Constant change and a changing environment make work really fun. I like the challenge of all of it and I really like the people; the multinational team. I have many friends in the company. When I moved to Berlin, I didn’t have many friends but now I do. We laugh and have fun at work.
What project are you currently working on?
I’m managing our advertisers and our key partners. It’s a big responsibility but I like it.
What is your next goal for your career at Simplaex?
I want to reach 100 percent client satisfaction – I want to achieve the longest lasting and most trustworthy partnerships.
If you could be an animal, which animal would you be?
A lion or tiger or something. Definitely a predator.
